Flat-pack is designed to ship well, not to build easily. We assemble every brand sold around Charlotte, and the packaging leaves with us.
Any brand
The instructions differ, the fixings differ and the tolerances differ. The method does not: check the parts against the list before starting, build on a protected floor, and tighten in the right order so nothing racks out of square.
Missing and damaged parts
A single missing cam lock stops a build dead. We carry common fixings, so a shortage in the box usually does not cost you a second appointment.
Several pieces at once
Moving into a new place with a room full of boxes is the job this is built for. Tell us how many pieces and we plan enough time in one visit. If the pieces at the old place need taking apart first, that is furniture disassembly.
You do not need any tools
Everything arrives with us: cordless drivers, the right bits, a level, clamps and floor protection. The allen key in the box is sized to fit the carton rather than your hand, and it is the single biggest reason a wardrobe turns into an evening instead of an hour.
Protecting the floor and the panels
Panels go down on protection rather than on the floor. A melamine edge dragged across hardwood marks both of them. On carpet the risk runs the other way: a fixing dropped into the pile is gone for good, so the working area is cleared before anything comes out of a box.
A room at a time, in the right order
When several pieces are going into one room, the order decides how long the room takes. Whatever stands against the far wall is built first, anything that has to be anchored goes in before the furniture that blocks access to that wall, and nothing is stood upright until there is somewhere for it to go.
Apartments, elevators and delivery days
In a building with a service elevator, assembly is usually easier the day after delivery than the day of it, because the boxes are already inside rather than stacked in a corridor on a timer. If your building wants the elevator reserved or a certificate of insurance on file, mention it when you book so it is arranged rather than discovered.
Where the boxes end up
Flattened and taken away. A kitchen island or a wardrobe produces a surprising volume of board, and most curbside recycling around Charlotte will not take that much of it in a single week.
